Type: Masonic Rosicrucian society
Documented foundation: 1880 in the United States; charter obtained with the support of the Scottish SRIA
Self‑description: the SRICF presents itself as an order of study and research for Christian Master Masons. Each college brings together a maximum of 72 members and works on esoteric, philosophical and historical subjects.
Claimed lineage: the order emphasizes that it was founded under the authority of the Scottish SRIA and that it constitutes the American equivalent of the English SRIA. It insists on the transmission of Rosicrucian rituals and degrees.
Access: by invitation. Candidates must be Master Masons, profess the Christian faith and be sponsored by two members. The colleges set membership limits.
Public contact: the site sricf.org provides general information and contact addresses for the grand officers.
Critical note: the SRICF has a solid institutional network and a real scholarly production (bulletins, research). Its internal operation is less accessible to the public than that of open orders.
